A group of Australian schoolchildren have gone viral after attacking McDonalds while dressed as Ronald McDonald, causing utter chaos.
Videos showing the cloudy day prank have racked up millions of views after students from Sacre Coeur in Glen Iris, Victoria shared them on TikTok.
At least 100 girls donned the iconic yellow and red costume, complete with curly red wig, before descending on their local Golden Arches as part of the school’s annual end-of-school celebrations.
Girls from the Catholic school could be seen running through the fast food section in a clip that has been viewed almost 40 million times, while CCTV filmed inside the restaurant revealed how pupils took complete control, filling the space from the front entrance to counter. .
Some of the girls got behind the counter to pose for photos, while others were filmed interacting with McDonald’s staff members.
“I just know the workers were so accomplished,” one user commented, prompting the student behind the viral videos to declare, “Uh, they loved us.”
The overwhelming response to the prank of the day was disbelief, with many expressing disbelief at the scale of the stunt in the comments section.
“How did you get so many people to agree to this?” asked one.
“How do you get so many people on board with this is my question?” pressed another.
As one said: “That would have triggered my claustrophobia.”
Many thought the joke was “funny”, arguing that McDonalds workers would have loved it.
“Dancing is dead on me,” remarked one.
“I like the fact that they are respectful of it and don’t step in to get inside the work zone,” shared another.
While one reasoned: “No, because honestly, as long as it wasn’t a mess and you all didn’t get too wild, I would have liked that.”
“As a McDonald’s employee, I guarantee they talked about you for the next hour, and you sure made their day,” said another.
The hazy days have a history of descending into chaos, with schools now moving to make the annual student tradition more respectable.
Things unfortunately still get out of hand, with a teenager last year “seriously injured” in a prank gone horribly wrong.
The 17-year-old boy was hit by a car when some Oakhill College students gathered on First Farm Drive in Castle Hill to release water balloons.
As a result, schools are now trying to keep kids on campus to avoid accidents and suspensions.
